A tall shrub capable of reaching up to 20′ in height that is commonly used in native ornamental landscaping. Juneberries are members of the rose (Rosaceae) family as are apples, aronia, and of course, roses. This attractive shrub produces white flowers early in spring that leads to the abundant berries in June that taste of a mix between apple and blueberry. Delicious to eat fresh without processing! Tolerates partial shade, but will produce more berries the more sun access it has. Makes for a wonderful contribution to a woodland garden, agroforestry system, conservation plot, hedgerow and homestead.
