Welcome to Forest Agriculture Enterprises
_ Forest
Agriculture Enterprises is dedicated to promoting, and spreading
resilient, and productive perennial agricultural systems throughout the
Midwest and East coast.
Not only are the ecological benefits to these systems numerous, but they are also highly productive, which means you can prosper financially while you produce healthy foods and healthy ecosystems.
If you are new to the idea of perennial agriculture and its many benefits, please spend some time reading our "in a nutshell" summary of who we are, what we do and why. Then browse the media and FAQ sections to get more information on the types of perennial systems we are designing, installing, and promoting. The core though of what we practice and believe is simple. Natural ecosystems work, and have worked for millions of years. Despite the massive human efforts applied to farming, we are woefully short of the inherent resilience, stability, and outright beauty of a natural ecosystem. We need look no further than native ecosystems for a template of how to move forward from the many woes of annual mono cropping. This is our goal and mission, to recreate agriculture in the image of nature.
By intentionally designing and planting perennial ecosystems, we remove carbon dioxide from the air, provide habitat for wildlife, produce food, prevent soil erosion, and begin the creation of ecologically sustainable human habitats. Whether you call it Permaculture, Agroforestry, Eco-Agriculture, Reconciliation Ecology, or Restoration Agriculture, Forest Agriculture Enterprises is here to provide the plants, technical assistance, and equipment to help create a healthier, more ecologically sustainable world.
